John Mendez After Effects class
Using the background I created in Illustrator in After Effects. I animated clouds moving in from the left and right side of the screen. I used a snow effect to add interest.
This is a screen shot from a ping pong animation I made in After effects. The rectangles are animated up and down whilst the ball is animated across the screen to mimic the classic game.
This is a screenshot of a video made in our motion graphics session. I used multiple video elements layered in a composition to create a futuristic video.
John Mendez Cinema4d class
A simple train created using basic 3d shapes in Cinema4d. I have used cubes and cylinders, and the human and landscape objects. I also created some simple materials to add to the objects.
I created a wine glass using a path I drew out in Illustrator. I used this with a lathe NURBS object which rotates the path to create a 3d object. I also created a glass material to make it look realistic.
My progress with my 3d model of a person. I used the knife tool to add cuts and sculpted the model using an image as a reference. I only need to model one side as a symmetry object duplicates the other side.
John Mendez Illustrator class progress
Using the pen tool to create a polygon look on the spacecraft.
Using the pathfinder tools to create more complex shapes.
This is a background made in Illustrator to be taken into After Effects as a background for my animation.
